What
is a "Schmidt-Cassegrain"? |
|
The Schmidt-Cassegrain, invented by Bernhard Schmidt, is similar
to the Cassegrain. In this system the parabolic primary mirror is replaced
by a spherical mirror, which introduces spherical aberration. This is
corrected by a Schmidt corrector plate. This type of telescope has some
of the advantages of the refractor (long focal length) and some of the
advantages of the reflector (low cost for larger apertures). |

Designs |
|
In
general, there are two kinds of telescope systems. One
is the Optical Telescope. This is our main manufacturing
base. The other is the radio telescope, which is used
for National & Scientific research . We manufacture
only a few of these. |
